Club Meetings

Kiwanis activities center around regular weekly meetings.  The Twin Falls Club meets every Thursday at noon for a one-hour lunch meeting.  Each meeting comprises a prayer, singing, conducting club business, and a speaker, usually dealing with local topics of interest to members.  Examples of programs include presentations by educators, state and local officials, environmental and social specialists, art and music enthusiasts, and sponsors of numerous youth programs.

Social Activities

A summer picnic, usually in conjunction with a Band Concert, a Christmas Party, visits to other clubs, and an Installation Dinner are included.

Cost of Membership

Currently, regular active members pay $175 per quarter.  This becomes part of our General Fund and is our only source of revenue to maintain the Club.  This covers weekly meals (whether attending or not), International and District dues, Kiwanis International Magazine, and administrative expenses.  In addition, there is a one-time charge of $60 for processing initial membership.

What Kiwanis Offers

Insight into issues affecting the local and global community.  Club programs offer members an insider’s look at their communities from those who make the news in education, the justice system, the arts, recreation, business, and more.

An opportunity to expand business and professional networking.  Kiwanis meetings offer a marketplace of ideas and a social setting where members can interact with peers of diverse business and professional backgrounds.

Service to the community.  Kiwanians can volunteer for projects they find appealing, and that fit their schedule.  Often, they have a chance to try things they don’t do every day.  Besides contributing to the quality of community life, members have an opportunity to develop and use skills that can be applied at home and work.

Joining Kiwanis

Be our guest on Thursday, fill out a membership application, and have it approved by the Board.  A brief induction ceremony follows, where Kiwanis is introduced to the new member and him/her to us.
